Outdoor Kitchens…..the “extra” in “extra”-vagance
I absolutely love the idea of being able to design an outdoor kitchen. However, I don’t live in a temperate climate and wonder how practical one would be for us. That does not keep me from dreaming though.

No matter the size, every family has one thing in common. We all have stuff! And we all need a place to put the stuff. Some of the stuff goes in and out of the house every day. Keys, purses, backpacks, shoes, seasonal wear, etc. Storage for our stuff is the idea most homeowners are tacking at the top of their priority list when they remodel. Thus, the MUDROOM!

The last couple of years I have seen the coolest retaining walls, and this week I learned they have a name. GABION. Not only are they great retaining walls but are fantastic architectural elements for yard design. I can even imagine one of these amazing “walls” inside an industrial design home. Oh! I love them!
